Tier 2 extension - for less than 3 years

Hi there,

I am confused on some issue as people at home office all give different information. I have a job offer that is fixed-term, 1 year and need to extend my current Tier 2 based on this 1 year fixed-term job. How long will the extension be ? Is it 1 year + 14 days or 1 year + 2 months or ? Checked the CoS that was assigned for me and no info regarding this. Not sure what type of CoS they have applied for.
