Tier 1 Extension - Do I still need my Bachelors Degree

Post by tonynz » Wed Nov 02, 2011 4:16 pm

Hi guys,

I am about to extend my Tier 1 again.

My Tier 1 was originally granted in Feb 2009 and hence it will expire in Feb 2012.

My question is that do I still need to send in my Bachelor's degree?

Also has the rules changed for myself since I last applied (that will apply to - me. I think my rules that I applied on will stay the same despite the changes)??

I already have a Tier 1 so does that mean it'll only be £500?

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... eral/cost/# : Applicants and their dependants can pay the following reduced fees if they submit a valid Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) letter with their application

1. The form explains whether you need to submit it again or not.
2. An HSMP letter remains "valid" for 6 months from date of issue, so no reduced fees ... but full fees.

HSMP is now obsolete and Tier 1 took it's place. But they are pretty much the same thing, except you no longer need to apply for your visa in two parts.

If you submitted your degree certificate in any previous HSMP or Tier 1 (General) application you can claim the same points for it without having to resend it.
