tier 1 extension

hi gurus i have got my tier1(200k) visa in oct 2014 and since then iam not able to find a business which iam looking for.but there is a friend of mine who owns a pub and he is ready to help me out so was wondering if i can show them that iam buying shares of his company and regitering as second dorector of the company?so my question was how much amount do i have to show them that iam investing?and also i going to finish my 10 yrs in the country so whats the step for long resindency?
any advise would be appreciated!

Hi Hitesh

I do think HO [though I am not expert Gurus] should allow this kind of scenario, as far as you are the director-shareholder and you are completely investing £200 K in it. However, the tricky bits like having another partner as director, his control shares etc etc, you need to clear with helps of strong accountant and solicitor. I also reckon you should better ask once directly HO regarding this.
