Tier 2 extension

Hi,
I am on tier 2 restricted visa for 2 years which is going to expire 13/03/2020 short occupation
I have few questions which I believe I can get answers here only
1. When is the best time to apply for extension.
2. What will be the start date on new CoS
3. What documents are needed to attach with application
4. My current employment contract says 4 years which will be around March 2022. If I apply for 3 years extension, will it be valid? Or shall I ask my company to provide new agreement.
5. My company financial statements says it is in loss from last 3 years. Can it impact my application? In anyways

I would appreciate your help in this matter.
