Tier 1 Extension

Post by cgohil » Tue Nov 30, 2010 5:35 am

Dear All.

I have come accross one situation:- My current company notice period is three months and I got a job in UK which is resume in Jan mid 2011.I have to join them in one month of time period.

I have a question for extension:-
My visa expiry date is 2011 Nov.
I am thinking of Leaving my current company without serving three months of notice period though I am ready to pay 2 months of pay as well as one month of notice.

I have got all my salary stamp with my current company..I have a questions If I leave my current company without serving notice period willl it create any problem while I do my UK visa extension. Will I face any problem/issue whith my salary verification.

I appreciate pls reply or help me so that I can take quick decision.

I would ideally advise you to solve your problem with ur current employer and then get relieved smoothly after completing all the formalities formally.

Who knows, tomorrow UKBA will say that all tier 1 holders should submit a letter from their previous employers for their supporting work experience.

Just an example :) and that may never happen.

But be formal. That is my advise.

It is a very simple problem Gohil and solutions have been provided earlier.

Go and tell your boss that you are a very close friend of his wife

Jokes apart.
Sorry for your situation mate. Have you told the truth about your UK job and joining needs?

If not, stop working and be a spoil sport in office.
Let your boss wish you was NEVER in his time.

It pays to be bad boy sometimes.

Salary verification - NO.
UKBA - Nope, they are NOT interested in this.
Old Employer - If they do not accept your offer of no salary and early exit, then you got:

best scenario - only bad relations with Old employer.
worst scenario - They mark you absconding, Do not release expereience letter and settlements (funds etc) is not happening.

New Employer - They are less interested in salary and MORE in your professional experience. Routine is to carry out a background check which includes professional references from your manager at previous employment. (If only THIS one person likes you, you should be fine with new employer as well).

Tier 1 Extension

As the job market was not so good, I too haven't traveled to the UK. Even my visa is likely to expire in Nov, 2011. What is the criteria for salary when applying for the extension? Can somebody provide evidence for the last month (just before the visa expires) and should it be OK?
