TIER-1 EXTENSION

Post by joinjack » Fri Aug 12, 2011 5:33 pm

Hi All,
-> Got entry clearance for HSMP Sep 2007 (2 years)
-> Arrived in UK on Oct 2007
-> On sep 2009 got extended my TIER-1 until sep-2012 (3 years)

I was in continues employment from Nov 2007 to till now. (3 yrs 10 months)
But due to recession I will loose my job this month (Aug) 2011.
It looks like it will take minimum 2 to 3 months to get a job.

Problem:
=> In that case I will not have my 12 consecutive months payslip to appear for ILR on sep 2012.

This is a critical situation, as I may not satisfy the points for ILR with just 10 or may be 9 months payslip (provided I get the job in say 2 or 3 months)

To be on the safer side I have planned to apply for another TIER-1 extension (before 1 year as it runs out on sep 2012) now because I qualify and have all the proofs for an TIER-1 extension at the moment .

Can someone tell me if the UKBA will be impressed with this situation and give us an extension for 2 more years from the date I apply (probably next month) ??

If that's not possible what should I be doing to protect myself and my family from loosing the ILR (next Sep ) ??

Any help in this is really appreciated.

Thanks
