Tier 1 (G) extension

Post by abc111 » Sat Nov 05, 2011 10:31 am

Hi,

i applied for tier 1 extension and have received biometric invitation letter through post today for my wife as well for me (main applicant). just have a couple of questions:

> have they assessed my documents/eligibility already before sending these letters?
> once given the biometrics, how long before i will receive the visa/ card?
> while traveling in and out of uk, will i have to accompany the card?

many thanks.

1. No. It just indicates that you have made a valid application (e.g. - used the right form, filled up the mandatory fields, paid the right fees).
2. As long as it takes to make a decision on your application. Browsing through this topic should help give you an idea about the processing times experienced by other applicants.
3. Yes.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
