Tier 5 gained job sponsorship offer what next?

Hello. I am from Scotland and my girlfriend is from Canada. She has recently started a Government based job and they are offering her sponsorship but we are unsure what to do next? She has 13 months of a tier 5 visa left. Does anyone have experience with this? Can she extend or does this require leaving for a while but then probably losing the job? We are going to see an advisor for advice but just checking if anyone has information with a similar experience.

What type of Tier 5 visa does she have?

If it is Tier 5 YMS she can take the job and she is fine until her visa expires. After that then it is a bit more complicated.
