Tier -2 Gen Visa Extension (same sponsor) - 19 months before

Hi All,
My current Tier-2 General Visa (3yrs) expires in 21 months(Same sponsor - same job role). I'm going to bring my wife in next 4 months. By the time she arrives here, we both will have only 18 months visa left as she is my dependant.So I thought that it is better to extend my visa for 4 yrs now itself so that she will also get 4 yrs visa straight away. Am I eligible to extend the visa(for 4 more yrs) now itself ? Please help me.
