Tier 1 (general) and dependant to ILR - SET(O) form

Post by venkat v r » Tue Oct 06, 2015 11:13 pm

Hi there,
Me : Tier 1 General, entered UK on 04 Sept 2010. Provided my Master's degree as proof of English for the Tier 1 processing and extensions. Now eligible for ILR.

My wife : Tier 1 General Dependant, entered UK on 04 Dec 2011. She has a bachelors degree from JNTU, Hyderabad. She also got a letter(scanned copy) from the JNTU stating that the degree is taught in English.
She is also eligible for ILR now as she completed 2 years after coming in to UK.

I believe both of us have to use single(just 1) SET(O) form. I got some questions for filling both info in single SET(O) form. Please let me know if the below are correct or not.

In the SET (O) form
in Section 3 (which category ):
I think I should tick Section A Tier 1 General (excluding...), right?
Where should I mention about my wife's category?

in Section 4 (Knowledge of Life in UK and English language ):
Which option should I tick as I have produced my Master's degree certificate for initial visa processing and extensions.
Which option should I tick for my wife - she got a letter (scanned copy) from her university (JNTU Hyderabad) stating that the degree is taught in English. She also got bachelor's completion certificate. She has earned 10 points in PBS calculator for English.
Are these documents sufficient for my wife's English proving?

in Section 6 (Immigration History) :
I have gone outside UK 3 times for visiting my parents in India. These are not work related.
I think there is no need to provide any employment letters for these, right?

She has gone outside UK 2 times out of which once she went for 89 days (18 Sept 2014 - 15 Dec 2014) after delivery. Hope that should not cause any problems.

In the section 6 Immigration History how should I enter the absences from UK for both of US?

Sorry for asking so many questions.
Thanks a lot in advance.
