Tier 2 General - Change of Employer query

Post by Deepakchawla » Fri Apr 10, 2015 9:25 am

Hi,
I am currently on Tier 2 general visa sponsored by current employer expiring in March 2016.

I am looking for another job and needed answers to the questions below:

1. If I find a new employer to sponsor my visa – How long that visa would be. E.g. Would it be for the time left on my current visa (I mean until march 2016) or for the remaining time I could live in UK on Tier 2,(I mean 4 years (total 6 years on Tier 2).
2. What salary would my new employer have to offer new entry or experienced professional based.
3. Any other watchouts.

I have got an interview lined up so a quick response will be much appreciated.

Depends on the duration that the sponsor will mention in the CoS. It can be anything from a month to 4 years in your case.

Experienced i guess.
3. Any other watchouts.
Ensure the sponsor is a genuine sponsor and not an umbrella company who will assign you to client contracts and take a cut from your rate.
