Tier 2 General clarifications

Post by vanjinath » Fri Dec 11, 2020 10:32 am

Hello All,

I have a valid COS which was issued during FEB-20 and got the entry clearance visa during Mar-20. But due to the COVID pandemic, I was not able to travel to the UK, and my entry clearance visa was expired. Now, If I have to travel again, do I need to apply for a new COS? (i.e. Do I need to start all the process again from the begining) or I can still use the existing COS? will the new Immigration policy affects the already issued COS?

Regards,
Subu

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus ... -residents

Read section under:
If your 30 day or 90 day visa vignette to work, study or join family has expired
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.

Thanks for the response. So can I conclude the new immigration policy will not affect my existing COS and all I need to do is apply for new 30 days entry visa?

Is my understanding correct?

There is nothing to do with the CoS. You need to apply to replace an expired vignette.
