Tier 4 General dependents

Post by seemis » Sat Dec 28, 2013 7:25 am

IBmail
Hi,

I would be grateful if anyone could help me. My spouse has received Tier4 general student visa for level 7 last week. His classes will be starting on 25jan 2013. I now wanted to apply for dependent visa with my son as dependents. I am maintaining the bank account as per UKBA requirement for myself and son. My husband will be traveling on 20th of jan to join his classes but I’ll be applying on 10th of Jan . I have few questions to ask.
1) May I apply for visa when he is still here and not left for UK or is it mandatory to apply after his departure
2) Is it allowed to keep the money in my account for both of us or do I have to show it in my husband’s account?
3) How much money do I have to show for both of us when He’ll be studying in London inside boroughs?
4) My husband has already paid the 50% fee and will be taking rest of the amount with him so will it be OK to just show the money for me my son or we also have to show husbands maintenance and balance of fee?

Waiting for kind response

Thanks

You can apply anytime you want as long as your husband has been enrolled at a Higher Education Institute. Your husband have to show maintenance fund on his account plus remaining of his tuition fees. You can show the fund in your account in that case you have to have sufficient documents proving your relationship with your husband (e.g. marriage certificate) and also documents that he has the authorization from you to access to that fund.

For further details how much you have to show in your account please check the following link

Hope it helps.
