Hi,
I have few doubts on the following questions asked in the Tier 1 General Extension Application.
1) Q: D1. Did the applicant obtain entry clearance or a visa before entering the United Kingdom?Yes - go to question D2 No- go to question D5
I applied my initial Tier 1 general visa when I was in UK(Inside the country with Tier 2 status) and got my Tier 1 general. So, Do I need to select "NO" for this question? (As I didn't get the Tier 1 Visa out of UK)
2) Can anyone please explain the following question asked in the Dependent application? What should be the answer for this if the dependent got her Visa out of UK?
Q: F13. Give details of the British diplomatic post(s) involved if the application(s) was/were made abroad.
3)J6. Has the main applicant’s application been assessed in accordance with paragraphs 39-42 of the HSMP Forum Ltd. Judicial Review Policy Document?
Yes No
As, I applied Tier 1 General in 2009 without any HSMP related involved. I believe I need to select "NO" for the above question. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks in advance.
Sorry to clarify the questions at the form level as I dont want to take chance for any misssings.

if the dependent was issued a biometric aborad then give the details, otherwise they will do a new biometric.
The criteria as it seems to be after my PEO is that is you havnt done ur Biometric done inside UK, they will do again.

@Sandeepk
Hi, Sorry to bother you. I was in similar situation when I was filling the Tier-1 Gen extn application.
1. Q: D1. - I answered 'Yes' and for D2 - I have mentioned the entry clearance which I received earlier from India .. That is my Work permit entry clearance number which I received earlier from India.
For your info, I applied my initial Tier 1 general visa within UK(Inside the country with Tier 2 status) and got my Tier 1 general here.
So will it affect my application as I have already posted by application. Bcos I do remember searching for this query while filling the application and unfortunately I couldn't find any similar post. Please do let me know will it affect the outcome of Tier1 extn application
Your response would really appreciated. Thanks

Thanks a lot Sandeep.
@Red: I dont think it's a problem even if you selected Yes. Anyway, they will come to know by looking at your visa pages and your initial Tier 1 application. anyway, to keep yourself in peace, call the UKBA helpline and have a double check about this.

Thanks a lot for your reply Sebasam ..
But just to avoid the confusion .. Do you think just for this reason would there be any difference in the application output .. Please do clarify .. Meanwhile, thanks for suggesting the UKBA helpline .. I will try that option .. But in general its very hard to get hold of anyone on that helpline .. I have experience of always being in the queue and end up disconnecting the line. Will try this time for sure .. Thanks once again & Cheers

@Red
I dont think that will impact your application outcome provided you satisfied all the requirement/points required without any mess.
All the best.!!
