Tier 1 (General) extension - different names on documents

Hi,

I'm going to apply for an extension of Tier 1 (General) soon. My query is:
I've got different names on my bank statement, company offer letter, passport etc.,

Eg:
fullname: Michael Peter Jackson
M P Jackson
Michael Jackson
Michael J..etc

something like this. wil it be a problem? if yes, then any solution for this?

Can anyone please reply. I too have different names on different documents. If I give the explaination will that be fine.

It would be ok if you provide the covering letter to mention the different format of your names. I have applied my initial HSMP application with the detailed covering letter.

Subject: Letter for difference in name between SALARY SLIP, EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS and BANK STATEMENT.

Dear Sir/Madam,
My name as per records (Birth Certificate, educational certificate and Driving License) is Michael Jackson but my name was expanded in other records as M P Jackson.

Hereby, I declare that the names M P Jackson, Michael J and Michael Jackson all refer to the same person Michael Peter Jackson.

For this I have provided the following documents as evidence to say both the name are same:
1) Letter from employer (Just to add more support).
2) Photo copy of passport

I fail to see how your full birthname and your surname with both initials can be deemed as different names.
