Tier 2 general to ILR dependant

Post by Sunshineuk » Thu Jan 30, 2014 12:27 pm

Hi I am looking for some help and guidance for some correct course of action for ilr.
I am currently dependant on my husbands tier 2 ict

Husband came in uk 6th march 2010 tier 2 ict long term staff.
I came in uk on 22nd may 2010 pbs dependant.

Both our visas were extended in 2012- extension granted until 15th march 2014.
ILR is 12 months away.

Now my husband would be switching from tier 2 ict to tier 2 general with a different sponsor and is planning to apply ILR in March 2015.
I am currently working and my employer is ready to sponsor my visa as tier 2 general.

Questions:
1)if I switch from pbs dependant to tier 2 General would I b eligible to directly apply ILR along with my husband in March 2015 as family member.
2)is it necessary that when I am applying ILR in March 2015 that I have to be on my husbands dependant visa instead of tier 2 general.
