Tier 2 General Maintenance Issue...

Post by EvanS » Wed Nov 23, 2011 10:40 pm

Hello,

I just applied for a Tier 2 (general) work visa and I am awaiting the decision. I provided all the necessary documents such as the COS# etc. but I am concerned it will be denied because of the maintenance fund requirements. I supplied them with a printed (off the website) bank statements (with the bank logo on each page) and also with original payslips from my previous employer, both of which covering the last 3 months. However, my bank statements do show that I dipped considerable below the 800 pound requirement a few times, but I am hoping that with my payslips this proves that I have enough in the bank currently. Can you please give me advice if I should be concerned? Thank you.

Are you applying from inside or outside the UK?

If inside, what is your current immigration status?

Is your sponsor A rated? Has your sponsor confirmed in your certificate of sponsorship that it will maintain and accommodate you (to a level of £800 or more)

My sponsor is Imperial College in London, I believe an A-rated. However, I am uncertain if they mentioned that they will "maintain and accommodate me". I will email the HR department who issues the COS to me about that.
