I got my Tier 1 General Migrant Visa in May, 2010. While still in my home country, I then applied for my husband and daughter for dependent visa. Their visa was rejected because of insufficient funds. Our appeal was also denied with following reason.
The appellants had requested entry clearance to enable them to accompany their wife and mother respectively to the U K. Mrs X had been granted entry clearance as a Points Based Scheme Migrant. In order to satisfy the requirements of the Regulations the appellants needed to have available to them for their maintenance £1,600 each, that is total of £3,200. Those monies are, of course, a separate requirement from the £800 that Mrs X needed to show was available to her in order that she obtained her own entry clearance.
They sent us Application form IAFT-4 which is permission to appeal to the Upper Tribunal on a point of law arising from the First-tier Tribunal’s decision.
Since now we have clearly understand that we needed to show £800 in addition to £3200. They have not said that if we “agreeâ€

.. IMO you have to act fast and go to UK and make some financial grounds and finally apply for dependent visa after 6 months
Thanks

Even i am similar situation........
My wife's visa was rejected because of funds..........and hence would be re-applying as appeal wasn't successful........
Personally i think, u'll have to re-apply.........and i don't think one has wait for certain period of time before re-applying. As long as one meets all the requirements one can apply.........but as i said that's what i think........
As even i am planning to re-apply, i just need to confirm with people who have been through similar situation...............
Guys could any of you have been through similar......ur advice would be really appreciated..........
Cheers.....

we are going to re-apply after 3 months wait.. because the funds have to in the account for at least 3 months.
Do you think that we need to mention that our appeal was denied? or Send notice of denial with the new application?

I am not sure again, what others have done.....
But i am going to mention it in covring letter and provide referrence.....
Anyway, we have to mention this in application form. So i guess, cover letter would be a better place to explain reason for rejection as well.
Cheers...

Since I am still my home country, I'm going to show 1600x2 for dependent plus 2800 for myself.
This is i found uk visa website.
http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/howtoapply ... k#20836419
Important!
To qualify for Tier 1 (Post-Study Work) of the Points Based System you must be able to demonstrate that you have funds to support yourself and any dependants. For the main applicant this is £2,800 with a further £1,600 needed for each dependant accompanying you or planning to join you within 12 months of your arrival in the UK. These amounts must be held in your personal bank account for a minimum period of 3 months immediately preceding and dated no more than 1 month prior to the date you submit your application. The balance should not fall below the required minimum at any time during the 3 month period.
