Tier 1 (General) - Payslip and Bank Statement

Post by jd_b » Thu Jan 14, 2010 12:07 pm

I am planning to apply for Tier 1 (General). I get paid on Friday each week and receive the payslip for the amount I get paid. Week 1 i got paid on Friday (the amount was credited in the bank) but did not receive the payslip. Week 2 i got paid on Friday and received a consolidated payslip for the amounts in Week 1 and 2. When I try to match the net amount on payslips to the bank statement all the weekly amounts credited into the bank match the payslip (on weekly basis) apart from this one. The combnied net amounts credited into the bank for Week 1 and 2 match the payslip but the fact that these were credited in separate weeks and I do not have separate payslips just for those weeks, would it create a problem? Please advise.

You can do one of the following:

1. If all the other payslips and bankstatements NET Amounts MATCH exactly and it is only the week1&2payslip vs seperate bankstatements..

Mention about this in the cover letter so that caseworker understands you situation before rejecting saying payslip is not matching bankstatement

OR

2. Get a letter from your employer for the week1 and 2 and ask him to explain the situation which would be the Best thing that can be done

OR

3. If you can claim enough points even without producing the week1 and week2 salary.. then just ignore those 2weeks and submit the rest of the weeks salary..

Goodluck

Thank you.

I can get letter from employer explaining the situation.

I have enough points if ignoring the two weeks pay, the problem is that I cam claiming points from Jan09-Dec09 and those two weeks are in Jun-09.
