Tier 2 general premium service slots

Post by venkatpraneeth » Sun Apr 01, 2012 12:28 am

Apologies if this is a repost.

I got my Cos number from my employer last week. My visa expires on 05th may 2012. Thereore i wanted to apply for a premium service application. However between 04th april and 26th april i cant find appointments in any of the centers mentioned there.

Is there any specific time slot when UKBA releases the dates for bookings? I read in couple of forums that if you check between 12 a.m and 1 a.m you might have a chance to book an appointment. Is that true? Please advise.

I hate to think i dont have any other option except to post my application which will take 4-6 weeks since this is my first application inside the u.k

:(

Remember, you don't actually have to be in possession of your new visa / residence permit before your current visa expires, only the submission of the application has to take place before the expiry date. This means that there is plenty of time to submit it by post, but of course you won't have your passport while UKBA is processing the application.

Postal applications are also considerably cheaper than the premium service at PEOs.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

I do know that applying by post is cheaper than applying in person. However i might be travelling in last week of april which doesnt give me enough time if i apply by post

So i am considering the option to apply in person. Would appreciate any advise on what is the best time to book an an premium service appointment?

Thanks in advance.

It will be too late to book a premium appointment for end of April, keep trying though at 12am,might get lucky.
