Tier 2 General Switch Sponsor English Requirement

Post by MrIncredible » Mon Apr 13, 2015 3:17 pm

Hi

Can someone help clarify if i will need to provide English Requirement proof again if I am switching my Tier 2 sponsor. I have been in UK for 2 years now and initially I provided the proof of English language requirement.

The original proof is back in India and I have already booked my appointment so don't have time to get it posted from India. The guidance is not quite clear on this. Page 35 - Section 133 and 136 (2nd last bullet point) are confusing on whether I need the proof in original
Tier 2 Guidance:

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I am 99.99% sure you don't need to provide the evidence. Section 136 sais that you qualify if:
- you have met the English language requirements when given a previous grant of leave
I have the same situation, and my new sponsor told me I don't need to prove that again. I am in the process of application, so can't tell what's the result :)

All the best!

Iakov

Not required as you have shown the evidence in the initial entry clearance application.

Thanks guys. To be on safer side (to cover that 0.01%), I have got my proof posted from India on a DHL super fast service - should reach here in 2 days.

All the best to you to Lakov.
