Tier 2 General - VFS Timeline please

Hi all

Could some one tell me what is the actual time scale currently taken for Tier 2 general uk visa.

I applied for Tier 2 General visa via VFS ( Chennai ) on 4th Nov 13 - They say it will take 15 working days, till now no reply from them.

On 9th Nov I got a msg - its under process. If I ring VFS - they still say - its under process.

If it possible to ring British Embassy ?
if it possible to withdraw the application ?

Its a change of employment for me - from tier 2 general to tier 2 general.
