Tier 2 General visa Extension and ILR

Post by KBK008 » Fri Oct 16, 2015 2:36 pm

Hi All ,
I will be applying for my Extension soon and my wife and daughter will also apply for the dependent visa extension with me , My questions are

As this is an extension and i am remaining in the same visa category and working for same employer do i need to Maintain the funds for my self and dependents ?

For Applying ILR (Permanent Residency) do i need to have a gross salary of £35000 or My total earnings from employer should be £35000 which includes over time?

please Help!

Thanks
Krish.

1. No.

2. Your salary can include all guaranteed add-ons (e.g. guaranteed bonus). Is overtime guaranteed? I guess not.

Hi Moon light ,
Thank you very much for the prompt response

so the eligibility for ILR is different for Tier 1 visa holders is different from Tier 2 General category? because Tier 1 holders should show £35000 too and their over time will also be considered, so i want know whether its GROSS SALARY or EARNINGS there is difference between these two words .

and one more question
Does UKBA calculate our salary as 39hrs per week ? as my contract with employer 37.5 hrs and i have seen the UKBA site that they treat the full time employment hours is 39 per week by default , is this true ? if that`s the case then i am eligible for ILR.

Please reply

Thanks
Krish.
