Tier 2 General Visa Extension - CoS amendment

Hi guys,

I am applying for Tier 2 General Visa Extension, my sponsors have issued me with CoS, by mistake they made it for one year, now as they realised it, they are going to put employers note on CoS stating their mistake and requesting it for 3 years (as they are not able to change earlier entered date), and will be giving me one more letter that I can submit with my application.

Being said that I am not sure is it going to work or not. Could someone please tell me what should I do in this situation. As I want to get my extension for 3 more years.

Sponsor note should suffice. Let them also give you a cover letter as well to state their mistake and request 3 years extension instead.
Or else they can reissue new cos with the correct details.
