Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General

Hi,

What is the process for changing Tier 2 ICT Dependent visa to Tier 2 General. There is 1.5 years left on the dependent visa and T2 General Visa documents (COS, RMLT 28 days, Appropriate salary declaration from employer) are available now.

I understand, you need to apply from home country but do you need to treat it as a fresh Visa application?

If it is a fresh application then how do you cancel the dependent visa? Will it get cancelled after issuance of Tier 2 General or before issuance of Tier 2 General?

If its a change application then that means dependent visa will get cancelled only when Tier 2 General is issued?
