Tier 2 ICT Extension

Hi All, I got my first Tier 2 ICT in 2012 for 2 years. Then I extended it for another year in 2014. Now I'm planning to extend it for the remaining 2 years (so that the maximum period of 5 years for this type of visa is not exceeded). However, someone told me that it may be not possible to extend Tier 2 ICT twice based on the new regulations.

Does anyone have experience in extending Tier 2 ITC (obtained in 2012 under new regulations) multiple times? Is it allowed?
