Tier 2 ICT Long Term Staff Partner - Can work as Contractor

I have Tier 2 ICT Long Term Staff Partner Visa and currently I am on Loss of Pay i.e. I have not resigned from my Employer but I am on Loss of Pay (Salary will not be paid for this period). Since I am not taking any salary during this period, can I work as a contractor for any UK employer. Short term Contract say for 2 to 6 months.
Kindly Advise.

You cannot work as a contractor full stop.

You mentioned that you have dependent visa (assuming your spouse is main applicant) , so you can work for any employer on permanent or contract basis. The cavaet is that your main applicant should be employed within the UK.
