Tier 2 ICT

Hi,
I came to UK in July2010 on ICT visa and it would expire on Jun 2015, Is there any way I can extend my stay if I can switch to Tier 2 General category (if possible)?

you can either extend your T2 ICT leave (new CoS needed) or switch to T2G with a new sponsor.

Does a six year cap apply if he switches to Tier 2 Gen?
