Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General - maintenance of funds

Post by ajithkn666 » Thu Jan 29, 2015 10:26 am

Hi,

I came to UK as an Established Staff in 2011 and now I am in the process of switching my Tier 2 ICT visa to Tier 2 General.
I have the CoS from the new employer and a letter for maintenance of funds for me alone.
My dependednts are also with me and they are also switching to Tier 2 General dependent visa.

My question is, do I need to show maintenance of funds for my dependents?
I saw in the visa application that since I am already in a Tier 2 category, it is not mandatory for me to show the funds for me, but not sure about my dependents.

If I have to show the funds for my dependents, can I produce bank statements of two different banks and if total of these two bank accounts taken, I can show sufficient amount for my two dependents for the past 90 days.

Also, it will be really helpful if you could send me the links for the visa application forms (Both main applicants and dependents). I have taken the form prints and almost completed the application forms, but just want to verify.

Thanks,

Ajith

maintenance funds are not required to be shown for you and if your dependants are applying at the same time not required for them either

Hi manci,

Thank you for your reply and the links for the visa forms.

I already completed the online forms for me and my dependents and ready to submit it now.
I am stuck with one of the documents needed for the visa process for my wife which is the NHS registration document.
My wife already got an NHS registration document in the same address we stay, but UKBA need a new one which is not more than a month old.
The GP will not provide a new registration document unless we change the GP.
I know this question has been asked several times in this forum but I cannot see a solution for any of those questions.

I called UKBA and even they are not sure with the answer to this question. They are asking me to provide a statement stating that the GP will not provide a new one because of the above mentioned reason. But, it is not sure that it will be accepted and the visa processing may be put on hold.

Do you know a solution to this situation ?
Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Ajith

Hi manci,

I am seeing this in the "Select the supporting documents you will provide with your application" section which is just before submitting the application.
Please find the attached screenshots.

your dependants don't need to submit NHS reg cards, this is not a mandatory requirement. Read p5 of the Helptext under "Supporting documents" and refer also to the paper application form.

Hi Manci,

I had my visa application successfully processed on 4th Feb and I got my BRP card in the next 4 days time.

I submitted NHS card (Dated August 2011), a declaration letter from my GP stating that my wife is residing on the address and the marriage certificate.
The immigration officer who checked my documents asked me to include all the supporting documents I have and the decision making team will review it and call me if they need clarification.
But, I was called only after the completion of the process.

Thanks,

Ajith
