Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General (salary 152k)

Post by mary bright » Fri May 30, 2014 9:28 pm

Hi,

I heard that tier 2 ICT visa holder can change employer by switching into tier 2 general IF they have a gross annual salary of GBP152k or above upon application. I have some questions:

1) can anyone share the official link mentioning the GBP152k rule? I can't find it online
2) does the 152k include bonus?
3) if yes in Question 2, does it mean for last 12 month salary+bonus or my new base salary from new job + expected bonus?
4) if expected bonus is not counted, what if I can ask my firm to make it as "sign in" bonus but the cash will only be wired to my account after working for "X" months

Thanks very much in advanced.

Yes, you can change provided your salary is > 153.5K (as per Apr-14 guidance) and you are applying from your home country.

1) See this post for more info: http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... ml#p869456
2) Yes, only if it's guaranteed. Else no.
3) Salary of the new employer who will provide you the CoS
4) If its not guaranteed, then it cannot be included. Regarding the "sign-in bonus", there is no official documentation for it. Depends on the case worker how he reads it. Maybe seniors can comment on this point.
