Post by muditmalhotra » Sun Mar 14, 2010 7:18 pm

hi all i m applying tier 1 application this week, but still have some doubts

can i show my dates of prev earnings as 5th march 09 to 4th march 10 ? as in is there any prob if i dont use the complete month ,, reason for this is that , that i recieve salary on 3rd usually so i want to be sure that they take my consider my application....

second - i get salary and bonus,,,, even if i include my bonus my points remain the same ,, so i dont wanna include bonus in my prev earnings ,,,, is it ok to not to include your bonus ? will they raise any doubt on this , that y u dont wanna include your bonus ? i cant inciude my bonus as i dont have any secondary proof for it ,jus the bank state, emt ,,, so is it fine not to include bonus in it ??

also in form there is one section asking for expected date of arrival in UK ,, is it beneficial to give the earliest date or the last date ?

kindly guide as i dont have much time befire i apply

thanks

1. Please understand if you get salary on monthly basis.. you should claim ur salary period not the period when it is deposited in ur bank..
for ex: if you receive salary on 3rd of April 2009 for the month you worked from 1st-31st March 2009, then you should claim from 1st March not 3rd of 5th march.. dont do simple silly mistakes..

2. No problem if you dont use bonus as u dont have 2 different sources of evidences

3. You can put any date post dated till 3months from the date you apply.. if you apply on 1st April you can choose date till 30th June 2010..

sorry but now i m even more confused :( my appointment with vfs is on 23rd March and i m planning to claim my prev. earnings for period 5th march 09 to 4th march 10.... another reason to select these dates is that exch. rate is bit less on 4th as compared to 28th feb
plz guide what dates i can take and what dates i should take
i was under impression that if i am applying on 23rd march i can take any 12 consecutive months from 24th jan 09 to 23 march 10
please guide i m badly confused:(

this is my understanding... and please dont rely on this solely as i am not authority on the suject.

i am assuming you have been employed for last 12 months(atleast). Pick a date when the last salary was deposited in your account and then move back 12 months. Sum up those deposited salary and it should tell you net pay. i.e. pay after paying tax etc. this will constitute your period of earning.

for example. if your last pay was deposited in your account on 1 March 2010 then count back until you have reached 1 March 2009 and see if you have enough earnings to claim points.

hope it helps

i personally see no problems.... but you should wait to see what other people have to say about it.

PS. When you get your statements, it will show that you have been paid on 3rd march? right? so why not include that date as well ? and back it up with salary slip etc. which you should be doing to claim earning points

regards

Since you got salary for the month of FEB 2010 on 3rd march.. you can claim the period you worked and the salary you got for that period.. you should not consider the CLAIM PERIOD on the basis when ur salary is credited in the bank you should consider the claim period for the period you worked for which you got salary.. here on 3rd march you got salary for the period u worked from 1st Feb to 28 feb.. OK..

you can 12months claim period can be 1March 2009 till 28th Feb 2010... i think ur problem is something else. (exchange rate??).. if that is the case try to move your 12month period little forward like try to use 1st Feb 2009 - 31 Jan 2010 or 1st Jan 2009 - 31 Dec 2009...
