Tier 1 PBS dependent to Tier 2 General

need help on this please.. A tier 1 PBS dependent currently working for a company and visa expires in 3 months time. If the company is willing to sponsor a tier 2 general how does the RLMT work ? I am assuming we need go back and obtain new entry clearance. Would the process be straight forward ? if we decide to start now can they start RLMT and prove that there are no equal replacements (while the person still works under T1 dependent) ?

-Regarding the RLMT the company need to perform the test and only if the case that they dont find any UK and EU nationlas, then only they can sponser your wife.
-Yes u need to go back to ur home country and make an entry clearance. Bt dont know how the process would be, bt in case of PBS if u have the COS and all the requirements properly fullfilled , it should be okay.I hv been looking for such people in the forum who has switched thier visa form tier1 dependent to tier2.But havnt found any one sofar.
- Yes they can start the RLMT now while T1 dependet is still working
