Tier 4 points for maintenance help!

Hello,

I wanted to know if showing the funds in my parent's accounts will be better than showing it in my account. The reason I am asking this is because I don't want the case worker doubting if I am from a wealthy family. Basically, I want the case worker to have an idea about the kind of wealth my family has and have my parents sponsor me. If needed, I can even send them copies of my own bank statements too, which also will have more money than they want to see.

The point is, I don't want them to think that I will try to enter their country under false pretense to work some odd job to earn money.

P.S. I'll be applying for a PhD after a study gap. I'd appreciate your input on my thread about that. I've been having seriously bad luck with immigration people.

It makes no difference. Either is fine.

The reason I'm concerned is because I don't want them to refuse me on stupid grounds like "insufficient ties to home country".

Although it's a point based system where I'd score 40/40, I'm a bit concerned about the subjective judgement of the case officers.

That is not a ground for refusal in itself, only as one aspect of lacking credibility as a genuine student. Ask your Tier 4 sponsor for guidance on that.
