Tier 1 PSW to Tier 4....Urgent

Post by hham1224 » Sun May 13, 2012 1:59 pm

Dear All,

I am asking this for my brother. He came to UK in 2005 started ACCA and finished ACCA in 2009. September 2009 started MSc from Anglia Ruskin University and finished in Oct 2010. Switched to PSW based on MSc. His PSW will expire in December 2012.

Can he Switch to Tier 4 for a 2 years MBA from a University.

Student visa up from July 2005 to August 2008. (ACCA)

Student visa up from August 2008 to November 2009 (ACCA+BSc)

Tier 4 November 2009 to December 2010 (MSc international Acounting)

PSW from December 2010 to December 2012

Can he apply for the Tier 4 General now or in 3 month time. Also, what things he must beware of.

Best Wishes,

Ask your brother to read the policy guidance.

Firstly, thanks for your reply. He read the policy Guidance of tier 4 and asked me about the above. I was not sure that is why I asked. I assume after the total 6 year cap applicable to those students who got their Tier 4 general visa on and after 31 March 2009. Is that true? He only remained on tier 4 general visa for one year before he got PSW.

It is not clear from the policy guidance but according to the rules pre tier 4 student leave will also count.
