UK Tier 2 spouse Visa

Hi all,

I got married on 3rd july 2017 and I had applied for biometric from chennai VFS on 7th july. I received a mail from UK visa sheffield on 19th july mentioning that they have received my application and is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer. I have not received any communication post that.

So, on my 30th working day, I spoke to the international UK visa assistance (paid assistance) where they mentioned that the decision is still pending & it will take about 60 working days for the decision to be taken.

Would request you to share your experience on this. Does it usually take this much time?

I have received my wife and child visa in 17 working days.

Wanted to know if the visa that you had applied was that of a priority or standard you had applied for your family?

It was via standard service.

Application was submitted: Monday 17 July 2017
Decision was made: 1st Aug 2017
Passport received: 8th Aug 2017
