Tier 2 (G) to Tier 1 (Entrepreneur)

Post by svasu » Tue Jun 03, 2014 3:24 pm

Hi All,

I currently under Tier 2 general visa which is due to expire in 2nd week of July 2014. My employer is not willing to assign a CoS for an extension. Keeping this in mind I am now looking at the possibility of switching to a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa.
Coming July I would complete three years in Tier 2 category and assuming that I am successful in switching to a Tier 1 Entrepreneur visa, will I be eligible for ILR in say July 2016?

Your reply will be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

svasu

as to when you will be eligible for ILR after switching to T1(E) see Immigration Rule 245DF:
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/s ... MASTER.pdf.
which refers to Appendix A to the Immigration Rules (where you should read para 38 and Table 6, line 3)

Hi Manci,

I have read the documents in the links you have provided but I am still confused as to when I would be eligible to apply for an ILR ie is it in July 2016 (if i am successful in switching to a Tier 1 Entr)
The information in the documents in my opinion is not clear on switching circumstances. grateful if you can provide some info in this case.

Regards,

svasu
