Tier two veterinary surgeon

Post by armadillofrog » Mon Sep 07, 2015 7:58 pm

Hello,

I currently have a Tier two visa and am working full time as a Veterinary surgeon (not a short-listed occupation). I want to take a locum job for another company, as a veterinary surgeon, working the odd shift or two a month.

I am under the impression that I can work up to 20 additional hours a week, at a second job that is not my with my sponsor; as long as it is the same sector (veterinary medicine). Is this correct?

So I would not need any special paperwork or permission from the Home office to do so; and my new employer would not need to do anything special.

Thanks in advance,
Kristina

as long as it is less than 20 hours a week, you should not need any additional visa/paperwork etc.

Taken from page 57 of the Tier 2 Guidance:

 no more than 20 hours per week; and
 outside of the normal working hours for which your Certificate of Sponsorship was
