Tier 1 visa for Child from India

Post by sybadm » Thu Oct 27, 2011 7:27 pm

Hi,

Me and my wife(dependent) have Tier 1 general visa sanctioned in May 2010 and valid till May 2012. Our child was born in the UK in Oct 2010 and then we all moved back to the India in mid Feb 2011.

Now, Last week (Oct 2011) I moved back to the UK and also started working with good salary in the UK. I would like to know more about the Maintenance Funds I need to show for my childs dependent visa. I'm only filing my childs visa as my wife already has valid dependent visa. I have gone through the dependent visa ukba guidelines and many forums, but still I'm confused about my case.

Is it, I need to have £1600(child) + £1600(wife) and £800(myself)
Or I only need to show £1600 for my childs visa?

Your repsponse is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Syb

If the main Tier 1 (General) applicant or migrant has been in the UK for less than 12 months, you must show that you or they have at least £1,600 to support you, in addition to the funds needed to support them.

Thanks for you response, mate.

But, this is just generic statement.... with term 'you', 'them'....
I was after some specific answer rather copy paste from guidelines...

Thanks,
