If Tier 2 visa gets refused then what are the options!!!

Hi I really need some help regarding my Tier2 visa it is expiring on 25.10.2012. I am switching employer and applying on 23.10.2012. My question is if i submit the application in time and if it gets refused will I get a chance to reapply or will I be asked to leave the country.
Please it is an urgent requirement and I really appreciate your time.

If you leave expires while you new application is with the UKBA, and that application is refused, you will be given appeal rights. If, however, the application is refused within the period of your extant leave, you will not be given appeal rights. The latter is unlikely given your stated dates.
