Tier1 Dependent - endorsement (in-country)

Post by rkc » Fri Feb 25, 2011 1:59 pm

Hi
How does a Tier1 dependent visa issued in uk look like? Does it have Tier1(General) Migrant written on it or Tier1(General)Dependent/Partner? My wife's dependent visa when issued in India mentioned Tier1(General)Partner however after we sent for leave correction to the Border agency here in Uk, the dependents visa now has Tier1(General)Migrant instead of
Tier1(General)Partner. When i called the contact centre, they said that my wife's status remained as spouse on their system so it should not be a problem. I also wrote to the case worker but have not got any response back. Please, can someone confirm if the above is valid? Could it create problems for ILR?

If a dependant has been issued a vignette that states "Tier 1 (General) migrant", I believe it is incorrect - irrespective of what UKBA's internal systems show the status as.
