Tier1 extension after getting a job offer from UK

Tier1 extension after getting a job offer from UK

Hi,
I had Tier1(General) visa (validity:05th Aug 2008 to 05th Aug 2011), but unfortunately I could not go to UK due to some personal family problems and sticked to work in India. But recently I got a UK job offer and I am pretty interested to join that UK company and wanted to extend my Tier1 from there. Could anybody tell if it is possible?

My other query is that for the "previous earnings" section under point based system can I convert my indian salary to equivalent UK currency and would be awarded points accordingly even in the Tier1 extension case ?

I am in the same scenario. Yes you can extend the T1 from the UK. Of course you have to gather enough points.

Well as per the current extension rules, you can convert the INR to GBP but you cannot apply the upliftment ratio in case of extension applications.

133. We will not make any uplift calculations
on overseas earnings for extension
applications. The applicant must clearly
show on the application form which of the
earnings were made in the United Kingdom
and which were earned overseas. We will add
the pounds sterling value of these overseas
earnings to any United Kingdom earnings.
We will then consider the total figure against
the points-scoring table above
