I went to Croydon Home office on the 29th of June to submit my application in person, however, after waiting for 6 hours I was given a letter stating that my application is valid but they will need to make further enquiries before a decision can be reached on my application. I was not told the type of enquiry they need to make, all I understood was that they are waiting for response from somewhere which they refused to disclose to me.
The only external documents I presented are my Payslips for the last 12 months and my bank statement for the last 12 months.
I did a second job which was a 2months contract but the business relocated recently which make the company telephone number not accessible for now though the website is still accessible.
Can I be refused if my employer cannot be contacted?
My visa is valid till the end of July, I want to know if HO wait for visa to expire before sending a refusal letter because if they want to refuse my application due to my employer why cant they do that since last week?
Has anyone received a letter like this from HO to please share his/her experience as I am filled with lot of anxieties.

Not very sure, but i think they'll only deny you if they have any reason to believe the document is false.
They'll give you your visa even if they are unable to contact them if they feel the documents are genuine.
You can check their website, there's a guide for the ECO to follow and that issue was treated there. Not sure what part of the website you'll find it, but i saw it when i was checking some time ago.
Best of luck

Looks fine to me. Don't loose your sleep over it.

Thanks for your quick response.
My document are definitely genuine, I have a formal security payslip and my bank statement shows the amount and the name of the company as the source of the fund.
My concern is that I have seen some guys on this forum who said they were refused simply because HO cannot contact their employer/bank in India. I don't know if that applies to overseas employer only, though I have not seen anyone refused because they can't contact the employer in UK.
I am happy if they can use other means to verify my income or the employer but if they want to base the verification only on the information I supplied then it will be difficult to contact the company.
While my case is under consideration, can I send another document with verifiable details of my employer.
Mind you, the company only moved its head office back to the registered office. They were using 2 offices before but now closed one which used to be the head office and relocate to the other office.
In my application, I only put the head office which is now closed.

If you call them they'll say no, but there's no harm in supplying any additional info they may find useful.
Just be sure of the right address to send it to. I think you should try to send all usefull info b4 ur visa expiry, as its difficult to add docs when its expired.

I guess its more than that. If they are unable to contact your employer etc. (for in person application) they usually tell the applicant and ask for alternative contact details.

Thanks.
If thats the case then i dont need to bother myself on anything, they are free to investigate me to any length.
I actually did ask them if they need more information about my employer or Bank but they said no that they already have what they need, however they would not tell me the exact check and response they are waiting for.
Do you think i should still send the new contact details of my employer to them since this had just change recently?
