Tier1 General visa extension - case id

Hi all,


Applied August first week of 2011.
I have applied for Tier 1 General visa extension ( Premium visa appoint ment at cardiff). They gave me letter saying that

Case id:




' I am writing to acknowldge receipt of your application.

Your application is valid but there are further enquiries that need to be made on your case and as such your application has been passed to a team where these enquiries can be made.

plese do not telephone or make written enquiries about the progress of your applicationbefore you hear from us unless you need a passport or other documents urgently as this divert s resource from case working.'



Any has this situvation? how long it will take to process the case id?

almost 3 months completed but still i have not heared any news from home office.
How long i have to wait to ask home office to check the status?
