Tier1 ILR-Dependent Extension-Travel

Hi All,

I have a question, My husband is applying for ILR & Me & my son ( dependents) applying for tier 1 extension in a few days time. So question is ;

Can me & my son travel outside Uk whilst our application is still with HOME Office ? As of new system HO don't need passport.
