Tier2 application

Post by maeva2011 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 5:16 pm

Hi guys,
my employer obtained a COS for me last week. At the time they applied for COS, my salary did not match the one stated in codes of practice. They decided to raise it for the month of July, but this will only show in my August payslip as I will be paid outstanding arrears. My question is can I still go ahead and apply for Tier2 now using my current payslips which show a lower salary to the one in codes of practice, or do i need to wait until i have my August payslip which will show the correct amount?
Thanks

I dont understand!

Your employer is suppose to pay you whatever it says on your COS when you have been successfully given Tier 2 visa.

It doesn't matter what you are currently being paid.

Unless ofcourse ... never mind...clarify what visa you are currently on, please.

Tier2 application

Post by maeva2011 » Tue Jul 19, 2011 5:54 pm

Yes my employer is already paying me what is says on COS, as I received a pay rise letter yesterday dated to 1st of July; but since it was too late to show in July payslip, they will pay me arrears in August. I was not sure if I had to wait until I received my August payslip, to make my application.
I am switching from PSW to Tier2 (general).
I wasn't sure if I had to prove that I was already on correct salary when I applied for Tier2 or not.

Sorry if this is unclear to you, I'll make it more clear:

I am switching from PSW to Tier2 and these are the documents that I have:

1- PSW Visa + COS (stating appropriate salary in codes of practice)
2- 6 months payslips (showing salary lower than that stated inCOS)
3- Original Degree Certificate
4- Letter from employer confirming length of employment and current salary

COS was allocated on 12/07/11 and my July payslip will show less than what it says in COS. I didn't know if this was an issue or not.

It does not matter what salary u r on currently(while on psw)...

Once u apply for tier 2, and get visa, only then u need to make sure u r getting paid the salary written on the COS.

the 6 salary slips that u r submitting is the evidence that u have been workingfor this employer for 6 months.. nothing more, nothing less.

u r all good

cheers
