Tier2 COS document is taking time

Post by Tieruser » Fri Aug 02, 2019 5:19 pm

Hi experts,

My employer is valid tier 2 sponsor and they applied for Cos stage 1 on 5th July 2019 and got approval on 11th July and then took my passport details and applied for stage 2 and it's been 3 weeks and no update from home office. Anyone has faced this issue?

What do you mean exactly by Stage 2??

Presumably you are outside the UK, so you are required to applied from your home county and make an appointment with VFS for documents and biometrics.

Hi CR001,
Thanks for your update. Correct me if I'm wrong.
My employer mentioned first there will be a cos allocation based on monthly cap for that they will have to apply on 5th and decision was approved on 11th July. Now they submitted my personal details to get the Cos with my details and job role. Am I making sense? Because I'm very confused because this is my first time.
As you mentioned I will have to submit my application from home country but till now I don't have cos number.

If they submitting the RCoS to HO for the monthly allocation meeting, that should already contain part of your information after a successful RLMT and your selection.

Once RCoS is approved, all they have to do is assign it to you so that you can apply for the visa.

Not sure what additional steps your employer or you believes takes place. If they are already an approved HO sponsor on the official HO sponsor list, it is not a difficult or drawn out process once HO approves a RCoS.

HO's RCoS procedure in link below.
