Tier2 General / change of employment / cooling off period

Post by g.sor » Mon Mar 31, 2014 9:51 pm

Dear All,

I currently hold a Tier2 General visa sponsored by my employer.

Let's assume I am going to leave my employer and get employment with another company (which will submit an application for a Tier2 General visa for me). I am not going to leave UK until I get new visa.

Will I be subject to 12 month cooling off period in the above scenario?

The excerpt below (if I read it correctly) says that I will not be subject to cooling-off period:
Any Tier 2 migrant whose visa was cancelled/expired and who had left the UK not having made a fresh in-country application, would be subject to a 12-month ban from making an application to reapply under this category.
(from http://immigrationadvicelawyers.co.uk/a ... s-changes/)

But does it look right to you?

Thank you!

Dear All,

Could anyone please help me with a piece of advice on the above? I searched the web for an answer, but I could not find a definitive one...

Thank you!
