Time Limit to look for a new Tier 2 sponsered Visa

Post by Srikanth999 » Tue Jul 29, 2014 4:25 pm

Hi Guys,

I need your help.I am on a Tier 2 general visa and my contract is about to complete in a months time.
I am looking for another sponser. So, my query is how long can I stay in the country until I get a new sponser.

Waiting for your reply.

Thanks

When does your visa expire?

You need to leave the country before (or the day) your visa expires.

If you overstay and you lodge an application within 28 days of its expiry (in the country), it can still be granted. However, if, for any reason, your visa is rejected, you will not be granted any right of appeal.

Not! That is only if you leave your employment early, the UKBA will have a minimum of 28 days to curtail the visa to a further 60 days. Your visa expiry date is the date your leave expires.

Why is your sponsor not extending your visa?

The bottom line is not looking good for you unless there is a role out there that you are already aware of.
You have until your visa end date to make an in time application. If you apply outside your visa expiry date in the 28 day grace period and it is refused you have no right of appeal.
You need to find a new sponsor and have your new application with UKVI on or before 28/08 to have the best chance of success.
