Anyone can apply for HSMP. In order to get an approval, you must score at the very least 65 points.

Download the HSMP guidance notes from the HO website and read through it carefully including the different scoring categories. Check to see if you score enough points before deciding to put your application.

You can also use this points calculator to get a rough idea.

I HAVE ONE DOUBT REGARDING MY EXPERIENCE
1) WHEN I WAS DOING MY MS IN TELECOMM ENGG IN AUSTRALIA MELBOURNE AS A STUDENT I WORKED AS A TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE WHICH CLEARLY SPECIFIES THAT IT REQUIRES GRADUATE LEVEL AND DURING THAT PERIOD I WILL BE RESTRICTED TO ONLY 20Hrs WHICH ALL U KNOW AND IT IS PARTIME JOB. WILL THIS EXPERIENCE WHICH I HAVE DONE FOR ONE YEAR WILL BE CONSIDERED AS AN EXPERIENCE BY HSMP TEAM.

PLZ KINDLY HELP ME IN THIS REGARD

Hi vorionsanty,

This is from caseworker guidance:

In order for you to award the appropriate points in this section you have
to be satisfied that sufficient evidence has been provided to clearly
demonstrate either graduate or senior/specialist work has been
undertaken by the applicant on a full time basis for the required length
of time.

Do you want that your 2 years part time experience will consider as a 1 year full time ?

I didnt find any information about it sorry.

May be some others will help.

Bests.

hi arm thx fr the quicker reply,

so according to ur view the HSMP rules say tht u need to have fulltime graduate level exp in order to claim points against it. So in noway a student who is persuing his studies cannot claim points on the work experience while studying isnt it.
Thank u once again

Hi varionsanty,

It is not an individual's view; it is the stated policy guideline that "arm" is refering to.

Hi smile345,
completed degree [Bsc while i'm studying]
Apply to NARIC (http://www.naric.org.uk) to verify whether the degree from India is equivalent to British standards. If found equivalent, it can get you 15 points.
worked in hospital in india [5yrs]
Was this a graduate level job ?? Can you prove it through reference letters ?? Not sure if anyone on this forum will be able to answer this for you. Go through the guidance notes, it will help. In case you can prove 5 years' of graduate level experience, it will get you 25 points.
earning £13,500 per annum.
Sorry buddy, but this will not fetch you any points. The minimum requirement is GBP 40K pa.

With the info. you have provided, doesn't look like you can score the required 65 points :(

Hi smiles345,

Looks like you haven't read through the guidance :-(

The earnings are considered against the country where the applicant has been working/residing during the 12 months prior to the application being made. It is not based on the applicant’s nationality. As you said you're 29, and in the last 12 months have been employed in UK, you need to earn 40K or more !!

Please go through the guidance notes. It will help you understand the basic requirements.

regards
