Previous Earnings Question - Please advise Gurus!

Post by tapas_16880 » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:07 am

I am going for my T-1 extension this month.

From the claimed 12 months, I have worked for Employer A for 9 months with a gross salary as X and Employer B for 3 months with Gross salary as Y.

The earnings I have calculated therefore while putting details in PBS are:
Total earnings = (X*9)/12 + (Y*3)/12

But when I took all the gross amounts (amount before deduction) in these 12 months and summed them up, it is not matching. Some c£800 less which I think always happens if I am wrong. It is not a straight calculation.

My question is therefore, should I re-enter the PBS and put the total gross amounts (amount before deduction) from my payslips??

Why not you just sum up the gross salary in these months taken from salary slips?

The salary claimed has to be actuals before tax and not just calculations. It does not matter what you enter on the PBS calculator as that is just for your guidance. UKBA CW's rework all the points based on the available information once they start looking at your application.

I agree with manojk005, just add the salary from your payslips and use the aggregate to claim the points. If you use hypothetical numbers, they will not match up to the amounts paid in to your account.

Cool!!! Brilliant guys...

Actually, I looked at the payslips. The gross pay in the payslip of my current employer, it is absolutely matching with the amount derived when dividing my gross salary by 12. I think because I have opt myself out of the pension!!

However, the last employer's payslips, it is not matching because there was a pension contribution!

Anyways, I will put the total gross from my payslips in the PBS..

Thanks Guys!!

Wish me luck for 26th....
